Armed robber hits Modesto GameStop
Modesto police responded to an armed robbery at a GameStop on Plaza Parkway on Saturday afternoon.
Police were called at 4:10 p.m. with a report of an armed gunman at the GameStop between the Walmart and Kohl’s on Plaza Parkway. Modesto police Sgt. Jerry Ramar said a man entered the video-game store with a handgun and told patrons inside to get on the floor.
He was described as about 30 years old and thin. He took the cash in the register and fled on foot, Ramar said. No one was injured in the robbery.
Officers remained at the scene Saturday evening investigating the incident.
