Eagle Scout candidate builds garden for school

As his Eagle Scout project, Modesto teen Kyle Rodig has built a garden area for elementary students at Modesto Christian School.

“He is very excited to give back to the school because he has gone all the way through the program,” Modesto Christian’s K-8 principal, Matt Diehl, said, noting that Kyle is beginning his senior year at the school.

A member of Troop 146, Rodig has been a Scout since first grade, when he was in Cub Scouting. He worked on the garden project for almost a year, Diehl said.

He is the son of Ross and Amy Rodig.
