75 YEARS AGO: It was announced that a $45,000 armory and exhibition building would be constructed at the Stanislaus County Fair and Horse Show grounds. The building was to be used as an armory, along with drill rooms for Company A, 185th Infantry, the Turlock unit of the California National Guard.
