Four suffer minor injuries in McHenry-Briggsmore accident

Four people were transported to a hospital with minor injuries after a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Briggsmore and McHenry avenues on Tuesday night, Modesto police report.

The vehicle determined to be at fault was traveling east on West Briggsmore Avenue approaching McHenry, said Lt. Brandon Gillespie, and the driver said the brakes failed.

The car entered the intersection as the two other vehicles involved were entering the intersection, northbound on McHenry. The vehicle on Briggsmore collided with one of those on McHenry, which then struck the third, Gillespie said.
