Info: The city of Modesto is offering coupons for a free tire recycle opportunity for up to nine tires. Residents will self-haul their car, truck or motorcycle tires to their local waste hauler, Bertolotti Disposal or Gilton Resource Recovery. Address verification is required to receive a coupon. YESTERYEARS
100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that the Waterford Irrigation District and its assessor completed the assessment book for the district. Any persons wishing to check the book or dispute the assessor's judgment could meet with the district’s board of directors, which was acting as the board of equalization, on Aug. 21, 1915, to discuss the assessments given.
