YESTERYEARS
40 YEARS AGO: It was announced that the Modesto City Council voted 5-2 to ban city officials from representing the city at any event that was religious in nature and the city seal could not be used, exept for official city business. In the same meeting, the council voted 5-2 to ban the use of overhead street banners that would advertise community events.
