Info: Children and their families can share a family-friendly movie and picnic dinner at the library. This month’s movie is “Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel.” This program is a part of the Salida library’s “Tuesdays are Family Days” series. Children can come in their pajamas. 75 YEARS AGO: Two local businesses announced sales. Hammer’s, 920 10th Street in Modesto, had a three-day sale set for July 18-20 with cotton frocks for 69 cents, regularly $1.98. Michell’s Fountain Lunch, 14th and J Streets in Modesto, had a sale for giant ice cream pies for 50 cents. They offered 21 flavors, filled with fresh fruits.
