What: SECOND SATURDAY AT THE MUSEUM

What: YOUNG AT HEART S.T.E.P.S. PROGRAM

When: August 3

Where: Vintage Faire Mall, 3401 Dale Road

Info: The Healthy Aging Association, in partnership with Vintage Faire Mall and Central Valley Medical Group, will be implementing Young at Heart (YAH) S.T.E.P.S., a 12-week walking challenge for seniors 60 and over. Participants will meet at the mall to track their steps, improve their cardiovascular health, earn rewards and have fun at no cost. At the end of the challenge, there will be a hosted breakfast ceremony and presentation of participant awards. The challenge is a “walk at your own pace” program. What: BUILDING STEAM WITH DÍA FAMILY BOOK CLUB PROGRAM

When: Thursday, 3:30 p.m.

Where: Oakdale branch of the Stanislaus County Library, 151 S. First Ave.

Info: Kindergarten through third-grade students and their families are invited to “Building STEAM with Día Family Book Club: Build a cardboard box guitar.” Following a reading and discussion of “A Baby Elephant in the Wild,” children will learn about vibration by building a cardboard box guitar. What: ACCORDION CLUB MEETING AND SOCIAL

75 YEARS AGO: It was announced that members of the Prescott Grange met at Prescott Hall to form a committee to work with the Wood Colony Grange, in constructing a vegetable and grape booth for the Turlock Fair. George Johnson, R. Rasmussen and Gilbert Johnson were named to the committee.
