Here’s our weekly glance at the many programs for children and adults offered by the Stanislaus County Library system’s 13 branches. Some programs are ongoing; others are special events; and all are free and open to the public:
LEGO DAY • Monday, June 29
Children ages 4-18 will have the opportunity to build creative Lego creations for display in the library. Children under 4 are welcome with direct adult supervision. 3:30 p.m. Modesto Library, 1500 I St. 209-558-7810.
SHRINKY DINK CRAFT • Tuesday, June 30
Participants will make pendants and key chains, baking them and shrinking them to hard plastic. Program for ages 9-18. 3 p.m. Denair Library, 4801 Kersey Road. 209-634-1283.
DUCT TAPE KEY CHAIN CRAFT • Tuesday, June 30
Minions! Avengers! Participants may choose from a variety of duct tape designs to create a key chain. 3:30 p.m. Waterford Library, 324 E St. 209-874-2191.
SUPERHEROES READING CHALLENGE PROGRAM • Tuesday, June 30
Every hero has a story – who is your favorite superhero? The library has crafts and activities highlighting superheroes. 4 p.m. Salida Library, 4835 Sisk Road. 209-543-7353.
TURLOCK POLICE DEPARTMENT • Tuesday, June 30
Community heroes celebration featuring the Turlock Police Department staff, who will share a book and a craft. 4 p.m. Turlock Library, 550 Minaret Ave. 209-664-8100.
ANGEL FISH POPSICLE STICK CRAFT • Wednesday, July 1
Children can make an angel fish using Popsicle sticks. 1 p.m. Keyes Library, 4420 Maud Ave. 209-664-8006.
STAR WREATHS • Wednesday, July 1
Participants can make a patriotic paper plate wreath using paper stars. 3 p.m. Denair Library, 4801 Kersey Road. 209-634-1283.
FAMILY GAME DAY • Wednesday, July 1

SUPERHERO BRACELET CRAFT • Thursday, July 2
Tweens, teens and adults can make unique superhero bracelets using images from comic books. 3 p.m. Keyes Library, 4420 Maud Ave. 209-664-8006.

SUPERHERO ACADEMY • July 7

GIANT GAME DAY • July 8
Families may play giant version of jenga, bowling, dominoes and more. Participants may test their hand-eye coordination with stacking cups. 1:30 p .m. Modesto Library, 1500 I St. 209-558-7810.
JUICING PROGRAM • July 8
Learn how to juice raw organic fruits and vegetables along with all the health benefits of juicing. 5 p.m. Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado. 209-892-6473.
LIGHT SWITCH CRAFT • July 9
Adults can make a unique room decoration by painting or decoupaging light switch covers. Individuals are welcome to bring their own images. 3 p.m. Denair Library, 4801 Kersey Road. 209-634-1283.
CHIC MASK CRAFT • July 9

SUPERHERO FAN CRAFT • July 9

COUPONING WORKSHOP • July 11

DIDGERIDOO DOWN UNDER • July 14
Australia-themed show combining music, culture, science, puppetry, comedy, anti-bullying and audience participation while learning about the traditional music from another country. 11 a.m. Modesto Library, 1500 I St. 209-558-7810.
SUPERHERO LOLLIPOP CRAFT • July 14
Children up to age 5 will have the opportunity to create superhero lollipops. 1 p.m. Hughson Library, 2412 Third St. 209-883-2293.
BUILD YOUR OWN SKYSCRAPER • July 15
Participants will have the opportunity to build a marshmallow skyscraper. 3 p.m. Denair Library, 4801 Kersey Road. 209-634-1283.
FAMILY DINNER AND MOVIE NIGHT • July 21
Children and their families can enjoy a family-friendly movie, “Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel,” and picnic dinner at the library. Part of the Salida Library’s Tuesdays Are Family Days series. Children can come in their pajamas. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket to sit on. The library will provide a beverage and popcorn. 6 p.m. Salida Library, 7835 Sisk Road. 209-543-7353.
BOTTLE CAP NECKLACE CRAFT • July 23
