Jennifer Daniel stopped to use the restroom at a CVS store in Modesto, then came out $5 million richer.

According to a news release from the California Lottery, Daniel stopped at the CVS on Carpenter Road recently when she needed to use the bathroom on her way back to work.

“I walked into the CVS, used the restroom and on my way out I saw the lottery machine,” Daniel said, according to a news release from the lottery.

Daniel put $20 into the machine, grabbed her ticket, scratched off the bar code and scanned it. A message on the screen showed she had won $5 million.

Daniel said she will use the money to pay off her parents’ house and car so her mother can retire.

“And then I want to pay off my own house and put some money aside for my son’s school. I want to invest most of it.”

She plans to keep her job but not work overtime anymore and spend more time with her son.

For selling the winning ticket, the CVS store will get $25,000.
