Tickets on sale for individual shows in Gallo Center 2015-16 season

For the general public, today is opening day of ticket sales for all individual shows in the Gallo Center for the Arts’ 2015-16 season.

The season opener will be a two-show stint by Jay Leno on Sept. 20. For Broadway buffs, it doesn’t get much better than Audra McDonald (Sept. 5) and Kristin Chenoweth (March 24). Comedy aficionados can look forward to D.L. Hughley (Aug. 15), Gabriel Iglesias (Aug. 30), Brian Regan (Sept. 9), “Weird Al” Yankovic (Sept. 16) and more.

And then there’s Rob Lowe, who will give a talk Oct. 22 about fighting cancer.

A sampling of other performances during the season: “Elf the Musical,” August Wilson’s “Fences,” UB40, Mavis Staples with Joan Osborne, Olivia Newton-John, comic Steven Wright, It’s Magic and the recently announced show by rocker Chris Cornell.
