Info: Children ages 6-12 will learn to explore dance and movement while making friends in a fun, non-judgmental environment. Classes are taught by a certified instructor; learning group size will be four students to one “buddy” dancer with a limited number of groups. What: Strength Training Class for Older Adults

Info: The Healthy Aging and Association will offer free strength training classes for ages 60 and over. The Young at Heart Strength Training classes work on strength, balance and flexibility to help reduce the risk of falling and to help participants maintain their independence. What: Sunshine Club weekly luncheon

50 YEARS AGO: It was reported that in the U.S. District Court of Sacramento, Judge Thomas J. MacBride ordered the Modesto City Schools District to comply with the National School Lunch Act. The act called for school districts to provide free lunches to needy children in their districts. The California Rural Legal Assistance filed a class action lawsuit to force the MCS to comply with eligibility regulation of the act.
