25 YEARS AGO: Oakdale Joint Union High School District had plans to ask voters on the March 7, 1995 ballot, to approve school bonds. The money raised from the bonds was being earmarked for high school facility improvements to Oakdale, Waterford and Riverbank. The district was asking for $36.4 million in construction bonds but legally could only issue $25.8 million in bonds and would have taken 10 years of steady property growth for the bonds to be at capacity; according to district estimates.
