Info: The Genealogical Society of Stanislaus County is holding its annual ice cream social followed by its monthly program and general meeting. Guest speaker will be Sharon Hawley-Crum, who will have a presentation on the topic of “21st Century Digital Estate Planning.” The event is free and open to the public. What: LATINO EMERGENCY COUNCIL MEETING

Info: The Latino Emergency Council meeting will feature guest speaker Debbie Calcote from the Red Cross, who will speak on the topic of “Home Fire Prevention Camp” and emergency preparedness kits for youth. Info: The Central Sierra Audubon Society holds its meeting and potluck. The agenda for the meeting will consist of election of officers for 2015-16 year and scholarship presentations. 100 YEARS AGO: The R&G Confectionery, at 813 10th St., announced a Sunday special for its brick ice cream. It was composed of vanilla ice cream and orange ice and was 25 cents for a regular quart brick, 10 cents extra for delivery.
