25 YEARS AGO: It was reported that a Twain Harte pharmacist, Philip Ferreira, had been in a year long disagreement with Tuolumne County over signs in his shop. Ferreira had 13 neon signs, advertising mostly brands of beer, hanging in his shop, and the county's Design Review Board did not permit the signs. He was denied, in an administrative hearing, to retain the signs and thus appealed to the Board of Supervisors stating as a measure of exhausting all other options before seeking legal remedy in court.
