What: NEUROPATHY SUPPORT GROUP

Info: Modesto Neuropathy Support Group will feature a presentation by CareMore Health plan on the topics of scams. Information will be provided on the symptoms, types of scams, prevention and how to fortify “immunity” to avoid scams. Stephanie Valadez, community service officer with the Modesto Police Department, also will offer information. Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be raffle prizes. 75 YEARS AGO: It was announced that Sears, Roebuck and Co. would enter the Modesto market. The company’s new two-story modern office and retail space was to be erected by the Bomberger Bros., a Modesto real estate company, at the northeast corner of 10th and K streets, with expected occupancy within four months of completion.
