Campers get creative at Gallo Center

jfarrow@modbee.com

The Gallo Center for the Arts’ Creation Station summer day camps for art and music are being held this week. At a session Tuesday morning, children sang, danced and learned rhythms using instant rice boxes, empty aluminum cans, plastic buckets and trash cans. Campers also will get creative, making both studio art and digital art centered on their favorite movies and television shows. They will explore digital art at the computer lab at Stanislaus County Office of Education, make a pinhole camera and more. The week will culminate with a combined art show, musical performance and reception for parents, family and friends on Friday evening.
