Info: The monthly meeting of the Latino Community Roundtable features guest speakers Jennifer Mullen, executive director of the Modesto Convention & Visitors Bureau; and Chris Murphy, vice president of sales and marketing for Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group and publisher of Modesto View. 100 YEARS AGO: The Star Theater planned to show “Mistress Nell,” a five-act Paramount picture, with actress Mary Pickford. The theater also announced its Sunday schedule for the following week with “A Fool There Was” and “The Vampire.” Admission was 10 cents.
