Mild week in mid-80s forecast for Modesto

Weatherwise, it’s shaping up to be a pretty average June 1 – and average sounds pretty nice.

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and a northwest wind of 5 to 8 mph, according to the National Weather Service. That high is just shy of the historical average temperature of 84 degrees for June 1, according to Modesto Irrigation District weather records.

The rest of the week looks much the same as today, with predicted highs of 84 or 85 degrees, nearly every day through Sunday. Thursday is expected to be a tad cooler, with a high of 82.

The forecast calls for sunny or mostly sunny days, with partly cloudy nights and lows in the mid to high 50s.
