Modesto man identified as driver in Standiford Avenue fatal
A motorist who died in a crash on Standiford Avenue on Friday was identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as 69-year-old Gary Wall.
The Modesto resident was driving east when he swerved to avoid hitting a cat and ran into a tree and wall just west of McHenry Avenue, Modesto police said.
Wall, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
