Modesto man’s cremains found, family sought

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is seeking family members to claim the cremains of a Modesto man that were found last month in a southwest Modesto home.

The cremains are of Ronnie W. Lewis, who died July 5, 2009, said Stanislaus County sheriff’s Detective Zeb Poust. He said it appears Lewis lived in the Modesto area for decades and worked in the carpentry and lumberyard businesses for about 30 years.

Any next of kin, or people who have information on them, are asked to call Poust at (209) 567-4504.
