YESTERYEARS

50 YEARS AGO: It was announced that Gov. Edmund G. Brown had signed a bill that allowed up to $7 million for recreation and enhancement of fish and wildlife at the New Don Pedro Dam Project. The Modesto and Turlock irrigation districts were partners in the $93 million project.
