Namesake celebrated at Modesto’s Cesar Chavez Park

Entertainment, including from Ballet Folklorico Anahuac, pictured, was just part of Saturday’s Cesar E. Chavez Family Day Celebration in Modesto, which honored the late farm worker advocate. Presented by the City of Modesto Parks Recreation and Neighborhoods Department and Modesto City Schools’ Student, Parent and Community Support Services, the annual event at Cesar Chavez Park included guest speakers and community resource booths along with the cultural dances and other entertainment.
