YESTERYEARS
100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that the Epworth League of the Methodist Episcopal church held a monthly business meeting and election of officers. Florence Sherwood was elected president, followed by First Vice President Grace Butts, Second Vice President Jennie Cowan, and other positions filled by Mrs. Elmer Swaggerty, Walter Davis, Ida Karsten, Earl Simms, Lois Keith, Loretta Steele and Horace Steele. The installation service was to be held May 16.
