Info: The Modesto Kiwanis invites the public to its lunch meeting. Each week the club as a new presentation and discussions about upcoming club events. What: Healthy Aging and Association Balance Program

When: Tuesdays, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Stanislaus Veterans Center, 3500 Coffee Rd., Suite 15

Info: Free balance program for older adults, ages 60 and over designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Registrants will receive information, resources and a fall prevention manual. The program is every Tuesday for 8 weeks, 2 hours a session. Space is limited, call 209-525-4670 to check seating availability.


MERCED

What: Merced/Mariposa Division of the CRTA

When: Monday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St.

Info: The Merced/Mariposa Division of the California Retired Teachers Association will host the 23rd annual Jane Goul Card Party and Game Day at the Hoffmeister Center in Merced. The cost is $8 a person and is CRTA’s only fundraiser of the year for scholarships. Pie, fruit, coffee and tea will be served. Raffle and door prizes will also be available. Tickets will be available for purchase at the rear door of the event center.

What: Meeting of the Compassionate Friends

Info: This support group is for families whose children have died at any age, from any cause. Bereaved parents, grandparents and adult siblings are invited to attend. What: Sunshine Club Weekly Luncheon
