100 YEARS AGO: A group of Turlock citizens filled a lawsuit against the Turlock Union High School District Board of Trustees. Attorneys for the people of Turlock, J. A. Hindman and J. W. Hawkins, contended the board had no right to move the site of the union high school building after the board had voted on the site and to release bonds to pay for the construction, a total $65,000. Attorneys for the board of trustees, District Attorney J. M. Cross and R. R. Fowler, said the board had the right to move the site if their best judgment dictated the move and no re-vote was needed.
