Info: Public, sufferers and survivors and their caregivers invited to next support group program featuring Memorial Medical Center's Cancer Services and its Complementary Therapy Program for cancer survivors. Us TOO offers men and their families information on the prostate disease and tools for rebuilding a satisfying life after cancer. The program ends with snacks and socializing. Info: Modesto Area Partners in Science invites the community to the free presentation, "Fear and food in the Amazon: understanding how and why birds eavesdrop on each other in the rainforest," presented by Ari Martinez, Ph.D., National Geographic explorer. Dr. Martinez, an animal ecologist who explores the realms of behavior and community ecology, discusses how neo-tropical birds communicate across species and how they use the information they gain about food and predators. Info: The Buhach Colony High School Music Boosters host 13th annual Crab Feed and Jazz band dinner at the Pavilion Building inside the fairgrounds. The event will feature live entertainment from the Buhach Jazz Ensemble, along with a raffle. Proceeds help fund the activities of the band program. In 2008, voters approved Measure V, which authorized the Patterson Joint Unified School District to incur bonded indebtedness up to $50 million. Presently, the district is unable to issue any additional series of bonds under its remaining Measure V authority of approximately $34 million.
