Two suffer major injuries in crash west of Modesto
Two people were injured in a head-on crash west of Modesto Tuesday afternoon.
At about 2:30 p.m. a Honda traveling south on Paradise Road veered into the northbound lane where it collided with a Chrysler south of California Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Drivers in both vehicles had to be extricated by firefighters. One driver was trapped in his vehicle for about 30 minutes.
Both drivers were taken to Modesto hospitals with major injuries. One of the drivers was taken by medical helicopter.
