More than 300 crèches illustrate Nativity at interfaith event at Modesto church

For the 13th year, a Modesto church hosted a display of Nativity scenes representing cultures around the world.

The free Modesto Nativity Festival took place Saturday and Sunday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on El Vista Avenue. Visitors could see more than 300 representations of the birth of Jesus. Local music and a live broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir were part of the event.
