What's the latest on $3 million downtown Ceres improvement project?
Work continues on a major improvement project in downtown Ceres.
The nearly $3 million project, which started in June, involves a two-block section of Fourth Street. It includes replacing or installing water, sewer and storm drains and changes to the streetscape.
Crews also removed two roundabouts and built a new parking lot. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime this month and, according to the city, "will become a star for downtown as Ceres prepares to celebrate our 100th anniversary of incorporation in early 2018."
