Freight train hits pedestrian in Turlock, fire department reports
Emergency workers responded Sunday night to a report of a train hitting a pedestrian in Turlock.
They were dispatched at 7:39 p.m. to the Union Pacific Railroad freight tracks at Golden State Boulevard and Fulkerth Road. Details on the accident were not immediately available.
Three people died in separate train-vs.-pedestrian accidents in Stanislaus County last week. Two involved freight trains Sunday in downtown Modesto and Turlock. The third was an Amtrak passenger train in northeast Modesto on Tuesday.
