Info: A public hearing will be held for the area plan update for the Stanislaus County Area Agency on Aging. The area plan is a document required by federal and state law to be prepared annually, explaining the anticipated use of funding from the Older Americans Act. YESTERYEARS
50 YEARS AGO: The trustees of Ceres Union High School announced they completed the purchase of a lot and a house near the boys gymnasium and were in negotiations to purchase another lot. The total cost for the 55-by-80-foot lot at 2306 Third St. from C.R. Cameron was $12,000. An additional $64.25 was spent on escrow fees, title insurance and closing costs.
