What: Central Valley Democratic Club Meeting

When: Monday, 6:45 p.m.

Where: McHenry Bowl, 3700 McHenry Ave.

Info: The Central Valley Democratic Club invites the public to its next meeting at McHenry Bowl - South Hall room. Socializing will begin at 6:45 p.m.; 7 p.m. meeting. What: Community - Unity Rally

When: Tuesday, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Where: Graceada Park, 401 Needham St.

Info: The The Peace and Life Center will be hosting the Community - Unity Rally at Graceada Park in the Mancini Bowl. The event is to demonstrate support, neighbor to neighbor, for the community at-large. Speakers will address topics and issues that impact community members and what steps are needed to support each other, neighbor to neighbor. What: Modesto Parkinson’s Support Group

When: Wednesday, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Where: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 Carver Road

Info: The Modesto Parkinson’s Support Group will be holding a support meeting and is open the public, those suffering with the disease and their caregivers. The meeting will be in the church’s Telle Education Center and will feature guest speaker Carlos Becerra of Alpha Fitness. Refreshment will be provided, as well as circles and social time. DARDANELLE

What: Camp Jack Hazard

When: Through July 21

Where: Camp Jack Hazard, Highway 108 at Dardanelle

Info: Camp Jack Hazard, located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada, will be celebrating its 93rd year serving the youth of the Central Valley and beyond. There are three camp categories with multiple sessions, excluding Rookies Camp, has one session fron July 1-4. Transportation is included in the camp registration fee, which varies from $399-$720. Activities includes archery, horseback riding, arts and crafts, ropes course, rock climbing, swimming and traditional campfires. First session starts June 24. Scholarships are available. JAMESTOWN

What: Diesel train rides

When: Wednesday, 11 a.m.

Where: Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, 18115 5th Ave.

Info: Railtown will be giving train rides on two its diesel trains every Wednesday through Aug. 9, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. In addition, children will be able to enjoy the popular Story Time reading activities in the caboose happening at 10 a.m. and noon. For a full list of activities, visit the link provided. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youths age 6-17 and children under 5 are free. All train ride tickets include park admission and are available for advance purchase at railtown1897.org.


PATTERSON

What: Senior nutrition coupon distribution

When: Wednesday, 4 to 6 p.m.

Where: True Value Parking Lot, 1040 West Las Palmas

Info: The Area Agency on Aging will be distributing Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons at area farmer’s markets. The next distribution day will be at Patterson’s Farmer’s Market at the True Value in their parking lot. To recieve coupons, seniors must be 60 or older and have a limited income — $1,832 a month for one person or $2,470 for two. The coupons will be given out on a first come first serve basis. They may only be used at a certified farmers’ market. Each booklet contains $20 worth of coupons to buy fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey. What: Turlock Chamber of Commerce Mixer
