Local firefighters show there’s more to the job than just fighting fires
Modesto and Turlock have firefighters that go the extra mile.
Two recent examples show how.
On Thursday, Turlock firefighters responded to a medical aid call for a man who was injured while mowing his lawn.
After providing care and helping get the man transported to the hospital, the responding firefighters finished mowing the man’s lawn and gave the kids a tour of the fire engine.
On May 24, Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Engine 21 responded to a call of a man who had fallen while doing yardwork.
The man was not hurt badly, but firefighters helped finish his yardwork.
