Second blaze breaks out at longtime Hughson convenience store
For the second time in less than three weeks, firefighters responded to a call of a blaze at a longtime Hughson convenience store.
Mo’s Oasis Market & Deli first burned down on May 26. On Monday afternoon, firefighters returned to the scene after a second fire was reported.
Authorities at the scene said witnesses reporting seeing a car parked outside of the fence surrounding the store earlier in the day. Firefighters suspect someone may have gone into the store to see if there was anything left inside. There isn’t, and conditions are treacherous, with the tin roof of the building collapsed and the floor uneven.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
