Stanislaus Coroner’s Office IDs Tuolumne River drowning victim
The man whose body was recovered Thursday night from the Tuolumne River at the Mitchell Road bridge has been identified as a 28-year-old Delhi resident.
Drowning was the cause of Rafael Moran’s death, said Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Detective Andrew Glover.
Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection crews responded to assist the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department with the recovery. The call went out shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday.
