Info: The Downtown Music Series Presents, Bradley Bascon Violin Concert. Bascon, a 17 year old junior at Chaparral High School in Temecula, has performed in venues in Europe. He was awarded membership in the Young Artist’s Guild in 2016. Tickets are $15 General Admission and $10 Students. Info: The American Red Cross is seeking the public’s help in maintaining its blood supply. Visit the following locations: Christian Reformed Church, 2203 California St., Escalon, June 13, 1 to 7 p.m.; Manteca Blood Donation Center, 1030 N. Main St.; Modesto Blood Donation Center, 1900 W. Orangeburg Ave.; Turlock Blood Donation Center, 655 E. Hawkeye; and Sonora Blood Donation Center, 850 Sanguinetti Road. What: “Boots and Bling”

When: June 17, 6 to 11 p.m.

Where: Durrer Barn, 3500 Dunn Rd.

Info: The Humane Society of Stanislaus County is holding its first “Boots and Bling” fundraiser. The event will feature casino games, live music and more. Ticket are $65 per person and is a 21 and over gathering only. The ticket price includes BBQ dinner - vegetarian options available - and two drink tickets with a Humane Society of Stanislaus County souvenir glass. Info: The First United Methodist Church will be having its first academy summer day camp. The academy will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The academy is an educational program centered on spiritual, academic and physical development for ages Kindergarten through fifth grade. Info: Camp Jack Hazard located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains will be celebrating its 93rd year serving the youth of the Central Valley and beyond. There are three camp categories with multiple sessions, excluding Rookies Camp, has one session fron July 1-4. Transportation is included in the camp registration fee which varies from $399-$720. Fun program activities includes archery, horseback riding, arts and crafts, ropes course, rock climbing, swimming and traditional campfires. First session starts June 24. Scholarships are available. What: “Special Day for Special People” Program

Where: Society for disAbilities

Info: Society for disAbilities, in association with the Stanislaus County Fair, will be offering free admission to the county fair for Tuesday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In order to qualify for the free entry, individuals must sign up with Society for disAbilities and pick-up the required sticker. There will be buildings, selected vendor food booths and carnival rides open. There is a $5 parking fee and only one parking lot and gate will be open. Detailed information will be available once you sign up. 100 YEARS AGO: The Modesto Theater announced its program for June 11, with the musical, “The Masked Model”. The musical was written by John Cort and had played in San Francisco at the Cort Theater. The description of the musical was; “A jolly mixture of youth, breeze, color, sparkle and girls”. Seating prices were 50 cents, 75 cents, $1 and $1.50.
