Shining in the sun at Graffiti Classic Car Show at McHenry Village in Modesto

The Modesto Area Street Rod Association put on its 12th annual Graffiti Classic Car Show at McHenry Village on Sunday. A day earlier, the city’s annual celebration of cruising started with the State Theatre’s showing of “American Graffiti” by native son George Lucas. The theme continues with Thursday’s launch of the season for MoBand. It will play at 8 p.m. at Graceada Park, 401 Needham St.
