CHP catches Elf on the Shelf on the road

The San Andreas-area California Highway Patrol posted a photo on its Facebook page of a traffic stop of an Elf on the Shelf and his passenger Barbie.

Officer John Fernandez took the photo. The post reads, “Officer Fernandez made an unusual traffic stop this morning. ... A verbal warning was issued for failing to use headlights during darkness.”

The elf was then on his way to continue watching over children and reporting back to Santa.
