Madera crash victim lived in Sacramento, not Turlock, coroner says
The man killed in a crash Tuesday morning on Highway 99 north of Madera has been identified by the Madera County Coroner’s Office as 25-year-old Anthony Rocha of Sacramento. Before his identity was released, the California Highway Patrol reported only that the victim was a male resident of Turlock. The Coroner’s Office said Rocha has family in the Turlock area.
The crash occurred about 4:50 a.m. Tuesday. Rocha was northbound on 99 when his Camaro drifted onto the east shoulder and down a slight embankment. The car rolled multiple times, and Rocha, though wearing a safety belt, suffered fatal injuries.
