What: Voices for the King

Info: Voices for the King, a group of 28 local men, will present its seventh annual Christmas concert. The Hallelujah Brass will join with the men in the presentation of their concert. There will be a variety of Christmas-themed music with audience participation in singing Christmas carols. Net proceeds of the free-will offering will be given to Bethany Christian Services. 75 YEARS AGO: It was announced that in light of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, cities and counties would be designing plans for local defense. The Stanislaus County civilian defense plan was updated to include extra provisions. Some of the extra provisions included for city and county residents to have “black out” times and red tape was pushed away so that all citizens who were interested and able could volunteer in the branches of civilian defense.
