Family of fallen Deputy Dennis Wallace to receive cleats from NFL player
Indianapolis Colts long snapper Matt Overton wore special cleats in honor of fallen Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Dennis Wallace during an NFL game on Thanksgiving night.
Now the shoes are headed to Wallace’s family.
The Sheriff’s Department said it in a post on its Facebook page that it had received the cleats from Overton, a Tracy High graduate, on Thursday.
The department will be giving the cleats to the late deputy’s family.

Wallace was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 13. He was a local football official and big San Francisco 49ers fan.
Overton wore the cleats on Thanksgiving night, when the Colts lost to the Steelers on national television.
As the video below shows, Overton is a big supporter of the law enforcement community.
