Fatal crash reported near Patterson

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash near Patterson.

Preliminary reports indicate a vehicle hit a pole at Ward Avenue and West Marshall Road. The accident was reported at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday. The location is southwest of Patterson off of Highway 33.

One person inside the car died. It was not clear if the fatal victim was along in the vehicle.

No description of the involved vehicle was immediately available.
