Brother wanted for questioning in sister’s suspicious death

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the brother of a woman who was found dead inside her San Andreas apartment last month.

The woman was tentatively identified as 54-year-old Stephanie McGeough; her cause of death has not been released but the Sheriff’s Office is calling it suspicious.

McGeough’s brother, 53-year-old Sean McGeough, was the last person to be seen with her.

Authorities received information that Sean McGeough may have been seen in the Sparks and Reno, Nev., areas.

Sean McGeough has gray hair with dark eyebrows, he is about 6 foot, 2 inches tall and 230 to 250 pounds. He previously had been living as a transient in San Diego.

Authorities advise not approach or attempt to contact Sean McGeough if you see him but call the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500 or your local law enforcement if you see him or know his whereabouts. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office also has an anonymous tip line at (209) 754-6030.
