Bicyclist in critical condition after he’s struck by vehicle in Modesto
A bicyclist was in critical condition Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle in central Modesto.
The man, whose name and age were not immediately available, was struck by a vehicle traveling north on West Orangeburg Avenue near Briggsmore Avenue.
The people in the vehicle remained on scene. The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The accident occurred at about 10 p.m.
Modesto Police shut down West Orangeburg between Martin and Evergreen avenues.
