Oreo's New Spring Exclusive Sounds Just Like Last Year's Sold-Out Cookie

Oreo just dropped an exclusive new treat for spring, and we can only imagine how amped fans are going to be as it appears to be inspired by a viral cookie flavor the brand hasn't restocked in nearly one year.

Last spring, the iconic sandwich cookie debuted its "small batch" Cherry Blossom Matcha Oreo Thins flavor, featuring a split pink-and-green cherry blossom and a matcha-flavored filling between two classic chocolate Oreo cookies. It was so popular that fans had a really hard time tracking it down, with some reporting the flavor sold out in just 20 minutes.

While the company hasn't made any official announcements suggesting the limited-edition treat will be returning any time soon, it just dropped a very similar recipe: Oreo Forever Springtime Cherry Sakura, Strawberry Matcha, which uses Golden Oreos as its base and flavored fudge to entice fans to "savor the flavors of spring."

Oreo Drops New Limited-Edition Forever Springtime Cherry Sakura, Strawberry Matcha Cookies

Oreo's new Cherry Sakura delivers a "classic springtime bite," featuring a Golden Oreo cookie dipped in cherry-sakura-flavored fudge, according to an official description. The Strawberry Matcha cookies also star the Golden Oreo and offer a fun twist on the pairing with strawberry-matcha-flavored fudge.

Where Is the New, Seasonal Oreo Flavor Collection Available?

Oreo's new Springtime Forever cookie collection is available exclusively via the online Oreo store in a 12-count box with six of each flavor for $24.99, for a limited time (presumably as long as supplies last this season).

Prefer to buy your Oreos without fudge? The popular cookie brand has plenty of other seasonal flavors in stores now, including the new Firecracker Pop and returning favorite, S'mores.
