In the 1970s, Andi Carroll of Sacramento made pizza using a recipe on the Bisquick box called crazy crust pizza. She was hoping for the recipe. The Mailbox featured two Bisquick pizza crust recipes in March.
This easy recipe from Jaclyn Katsounakis of Hilmar is another, different version for Carroll to try.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Bisquick
1/3 cup hot water
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick, water and olive oil. Beat hard until a dough forms.
Press dough into a greased, 12-inch pizza pan, dipping your fingers in flour to prevent sticking. Top as desired, then bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 17 minutes until crust is brown and toppings are thoroughly heated.
