Nan's Ice Cream Dessert
Serves: 6 to 10
This recipe is from the Brinegar family binders.
Ingredients:
1 package chocolate-chip cookie dough
½ gallon vanilla ice cream
1 (12-ounce) container of chocolate sauce and of caramel sauce
Instructions:
Bake cookies according to directions. Use rolling pin to crumble baked cookies, then divide crumbs into two parts. Lightly grease casserole dish. Place half of the cookie crumbs on bottom. Cover cookie crumbs with an inch-thick layer of ice cream. To make it easier to cut ice cream into slices, buy ice cream packed in rectangular paper container. Mix chocolate and caramel sauces and pour on top of ice cream layer. Top with remaining cookie crumbs. Freeze for at least eight hours.
