It’s always the ones that aren’t here we want the most.

While the Modesto area has plenty of restaurant options to choose from, both small, locally owned spots and huge national chains, some popular options simply aren’t open in the area.

The Bee put together a poll to see which top national chains readers wish were open in Stanislaus County. These include restaurants that ranked in the Top 50 overall nationwide by domestic sales for 2022. While some of these companies have locations within an easy drive of Modesto, others you’ll have to travel across state lines to find.
