Synopsis: On June 27 at about 11:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired and a possible victim in a red car in the 1600 block of Vicksburg Street, just south of Paradise Road. Officers found Juan Gabriel Barajas, 32, of Modesto slumped over in the driver's seat of the car.

Motivation: Unknown.

Suspects: On July 12, the detectives arrested Gilbert Navarro Jr., 23, of Modesto on suspicion of murder. Also arrested were Maricela Varela, 23, Sarah Irene Taberna, 26, and Gloria "Kina" Meza, 29, all of Modesto, on suspicion of being an accessory to murder. Detectives are still looking for Francisco "Frankie" Carranza Meza, 23, of Modesto, who is wanted on suspicion of murder.
